The Barracuda Web Filter does not 'tamper' with any of the tags used between VLAN-aware equipment. The 802.1Q (VLAN Tagging) protocol is a Layer 2 protocol, and we do not strip the tags anywhere in the system. However the Barracuda does not know where to send traffic that exists on VLANs other than the Barracuda.
